We conduct research and development to optimally assess and use energy resources, both from traditional as well as renewable energy sources.
In the traditional field of oil and gas, advanced reservoir models together with advanced techniques for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), i.e. based on petroleum microbiology, are developed to best exploit the resources. Techniques are investigated utilize their potential for CO2-sequestration in order to mitigate climate changes.
In the field of renewable energy, geothermal-, offshore wind-, wave- and tidal energy sources are studied to understand their potential to contribute to a low-carbon energy society. To this end, measurments together with state-of-the-art simulation techniques are employed.
