About this person

Behruz Shaker Shiran is a senior researcher at the Centre for Integrated Petroleum Research (Uni Research CIPR). He has received a BSc in Petroleum Production Engineering from Petroleum University of Technology (PUT) in Iran (2002) and an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Kansas in USA (2006). Behruz worked for Petroleum Ministry of Iran from 2006 to 2010 and then joined CIPR in 2010 as a PhD student and completed his thesis with title “Enhanced Oil Recovery by Combined Low Salinity Water and Polymer Flooding” in 2013. He is currently working on projects dealing with low salinity polymer flooding, heavy oil recovery, polymer injectivity, and in-situ rheology of polymer solutions.  Behruz’s research interests include EOR/IOR processes, hybrid EOR methods, fluid flow in porous media and gelled-polymer treatments for profile modifications.
