Jonas Stensbye Solbakken (born 1984) is from Hole municipality, Buskerud.

Solbakken holds a PhD degree in petroleum engineering from Uni Research AS/ University of Bergen, and has since 2014 been employed as a Senior Researcher at Uni Research CIPR (Centre for Integrated Petroleum Research).  

Solbakken' work focuses on experimental studies that evaluates and gains new insights into methods relevant for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) processes and applications. 

Solbakken' research interests include; Foam properties in bulk and porous media, surfactant foam screening, CO2, polymer properties in bulk and porous media, core flooding, high pressure and temperature, visualization techniques
