About this person

Miguel Alfonzo is a PhD Candidate within the 4D Seismic History Matching project, where he focuses on the characterization of error in 4D seismic data and models. His interests include seismic inversion, reservoir characterization using seismic data, seismic noise estimation, integrated G&G research, history matching and applied mathematics.

He holds a Master’s degree in Petroleum Geosciences – Geophysics from IFP School in Paris, and a Geophysical Engineering degree from Simon Bolivar University in Caracas. He has over 3.5 years of experience in the oil industry as an reservoir and exploration Geophysicist, working for CGG and Chevron.
