About this person

Simon Neby has a PhD in administration and organization theory from the University of Bergen in 2009, and an MSc from the same department in 2002. Neby has worked as a researcher at the Rokkan Centre since 2003. His PhD dissertation dealt with institutional reform and governance in the Scandinavian hospital systems, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between institutional change and different aspects of control. His research primarily focuses on administrative policies seen from perspectives gathered from organizational theory, in a variety of fields. In particular he has conducted research on governance, reform and accountability within hospital and welfare systems. Currently, he is involved in a series of projects that investigate issues of administrative coordination in climate policies and decision-making processes in local climate adaptation processes.
