Research Topic: Marine and freshwater ecology

Research areas related to the topic: Environment
Polychaetes from the Clarion Clipperton Fracture Zone at 4100 m depth in the central east Pacific, where samples were taken in connection with biodiversity assessment.

We study antropogenic impact on benthic and pelagic marine ecosystems, with special reference to petroleum and gas extraction and aquaculture.

SAM-Marin research group has their main focus on marine ecosystems and monitoring of benthic and pelagic communities.

LFI (Laboratorium for freshwater ecology and inland fisheries) focus on freshwater ecology, with special competence in salmonids  (salmon, sea trout, and resident trout) and freshwater benthos, and in assessments of which environmental factors should be present to ensure sustainable stocks of these species.
