New study suggests that future volcanism will likely increase stresses on ecosystems and society by causing a more fluctuating climate with more extremes.
About this research group
The Climate Dynanics group focuses on development and use of global and regional climate models aiming to increase our understanding of climate variability and different feedbacks and air-sea-ice interactions in the climate system on time scales ranging from seasons to several hundred years.
- Development, use and maintenance of the national earthsystem-model NorESM
- Offer adapted climate information on a regional scale, and do research on processes that influence regional climate (”Climate service”)
- Increase our knowledge about present and future climate changes, as well as natural variability on global and regional scales by using models and observations
