About the project

COPEWELL is a EU project which represents a new intergrative framework for the study of fish welfare based on the concepts of allostasis, appraisal and coping styles. The project focuses on three of the most important aquaculture species in Europe: Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar), European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax) and gilthead sea bream (Sparus aurata).

COPEWELL consortium consists of 7 partners and is coordinated by Insitute of Marine Research.
