Project Department: Uni Research Health (group: Dental Biomaterials Adverse Reaction Unit) period: from 01.10.99

About the project

The Adverse Reaction Unit collaborates with the Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care, University of Bergen, on a project within the Norwegian Mother and Child Cohort Study where potential effects from maternal exposure to dental fillings during pregnancy on the child’s health and development are studied. Demographic factors associated with amalgam exposure have been described based on analyses using the first 67 355 pregnancies in the cohort (Lygre et al 2010). Compilation of results from analysis of associations between pregnancy outcomes and maternal exposure to amalgam fillings are in progress.
