About the project
The objective in BayMoDe (Bayesian Monitoring Design) is to implement Bayesian methods for planning marine monitoring programs to detect leaks from geological CO2 storage. Based on environmental statistics and predictions of seep characteristics, the developed tool will lead to an optimization of sensors deployment.
The project is a cooperation between the Environmental Flow Group at Uni Research, the statistics and hydrodynamics group at the Department of Mathematics of University of Bergen, Plymouth Marine Laboratory and Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh. It is also tied closely to the Horizon 2020 project "Voices CCS" (see http://www.stemm-ccs.eu).
